Camp Graves was born in the aftermath of the December 10, 2021 EF4 tornado that devastated Mayfield, Kentucky. Founded by Micah Seavers and Buck Shelton, the organization grew from immediate disaster relief — meals, shelter, and supplies — into a permanent resource for the community.
Today, Camp Graves provides temporary housing and supportive services to individuals who have been traumatically displaced or who face barriers to emergency housing. Programs are designed to help residents break negative cycles, build financial stability, pursue employment and education, and secure permanent housing.
Camp Graves also maintains a comprehensive Resource Bank — a directory of hundreds of regional organizations and programs — to connect individuals in need with the right support. Their goal is lasting independence, not just temporary relief.
