Choir Practice

Music has always played a big role in worship at First Christian Church. From the prelude to the hymns, special music, offertory, meditation, and postlude, music is woven throughout our services. If you enjoy music, we invite you to join us for choir practice and sing with us on Sunday mornings. Our choir sings a variety of traditional, gospel, and contemporary anthems that go along with each week’s sermon.

Love Never Ends and Neither Does Laundry

This program offers free laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, and covers the cost of washing and drying laundry. It is available to anyone in the community once a month, with no limit on the number of laundry loads. Refreshments are provided, and attendees receive information about the Disciples of Christ.

We’re happy to share that our first newsletter from our new building will go out to all congregation members by email on April 1, 2026. Printed copies will be ready on Easter Sunday, April 5. We welcome your suggestions and ideas.

Celebrate Easter

Come celebrate Easter Sunday with us at the corner of 9th and South streets for our annual Cross decoration. Everyone is welcome to add flowers throughout the day and take photos with family and friends. Hallelujah, Christ the Lord Has Risen!

Congregational Meeting

This budget reflects estimated operating expenses for the new building, committee projects, and salaries. In accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Mayfield, Ky., a congregational meeting must be announced at least 2 weeks before the vote to adopt the annual budget.

Camp Sunday

Come worship with us as campers from all ages share how camp has influenced their faith. We'll sing classic camp songs, wear our favorite camp clothes, and support Camp Kum Bah Ya’s snack shop with donations.

Mayfield Graves County Food Pantry and Needline

Volunteers from the congregationa are needed to help distribute food for the community.

West Area Men's Night

The West Area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Kentucky brings together 41 congregations and ministries from Districts 1, 2, and 3 to share a common mission and witness. Every month, a different West Area Christian Church hosts a fellowship dinner and program designed to strengthen faith and discipleship.

All Disciple's Sing

The West Area All Disciples Sing & Annual Meeting is more that just a musical gathering; it is a chance for West Area churches to connect, share, and strengthen our bonds. As is our tradition, our worship will include a time of offering for Camp Kum-Ba-Ya. We hope that the All Disciples Sing will feature a diverse lineup of choirs and musicians from across our congregations, each bringing their unique style, talents, and spirit to the celebration. This event is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community of faith to lift our voices in thanksgiving for all that God has done among us.
