Hi everyone! I’m Micah Spicer and stepping into ministry at First Christian Church in Mayfield feels like a homecoming. While I didn’t grow up in your congregation, the people, places, and rhythm of life in this community are woven deeply into who I am. Mayfield is the town that I have loved so well for so long. After serving churches in Appalachia, northern Kentucky, Owensboro, and southern Illinois, the chance to return home, both to familiar soil and to a community I care deeply about, is something that fills me with gratitude and pride.

My passion in ministry has always been simple: to listen well, to walk with people through the highs and lows of life, and to help congregations discern what God wants from us in this moment. I love preaching, pastoral care, and creating space where all generations can encounter God’s love in meaningful ways. Coming back to Graves County with my wife Sarah is exciting for both of us. I am keen to learn your stories, to share some of mine, and to discover how God might write the next chapter of our life together. I’m thankful for the warm welcome and eager to grow with you in this new season.
